Memento Mori

“My thesis draws from the ways that music has impacted my life. My favorite songs inspire the metaphorical imagery in my renderings. Rather than a flat surface, I painted on boxes which can be shared with others. This recalls the sharing of music between family and friends throughout my life. Furthermore, each book gives you something to hold, the possibility of something to open and multiple surfaces for expression. The open space inside my books symbolizes a future full of potential.”
